Personal Statement

With a growing population of people living with multiple long-term illnesses, the answer to managing complexity and multimorbidity will come from finding new ways of collaborating by using a patient-centered approach. Teams that collaborate effectively enhance the quality of care for each patient. My particular interest lies in critical care cardiovascular medicine, whether it is in the catheterization lab or in the intensive care units. One of the thrilling aspects of working at the Gill Heart & Vascular Institute is the ready availability of a fully engaged and highly experienced multidisciplinary team, which allows us to provide unique and tailored treatment options not offered anywhere else in the Commonwealth.
