Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Treatment
The highest priority of any physician is to diagnose a patient’s injury or illness and provide the treatment that improves pain or function — and that’s true at UK Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine. As part of an academic medical center, we’re able to offer more than the common, tried-and-true treatments that have successfully helped patients for generations. We’re also able to offer access to world-class care and clinical trials.
Our affiliation with the University of Kentucky and the UK College of Medicine means that we combine clinical care, education and research in our practices every day to offer leading-edge technology, therapies and resources to patients in the Commonwealth.
At UK Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine, our physicians work hand-in-hand with researchers and educators, and collaborate with programs such as the UK Colleges of Engineering, Health Sciences and Public Health, and the UK Department of Athletics. Our department has received research funding from the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and the National Institutes of Health, among many others.
As a result, we don’t just use advanced orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine technology in our practice every day; we also develop it.
