About
Lisa Tannock received her medical degree from the University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She then completed a fellowship at the University of Washington Medical Center, Seattle. She joined the University of Kentucky in 2004, and became division chief in 2007, and associate chair of internal medicine for administration in 2014.
Dr. Tannock is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Endocrinology and Metabolism. She has been the associate editor of the peer-reviewed journal, Atherosclerosis, since 2008. She is associate director of the Barnstable Brown Diabetes Center and an incoming editor in chief for the Endocrine Self Assessment Program.
Dr. Tannock's research interests include studying how diabetes and obesity complications develop. Her clinical interests include diabetes and insulin resistance, cholesterol disorders and transgender medicine.
