About

Dr. Dan Han is a Professor of Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He serves as the Director of the Neuropsychology Division at UK HealthCare. Dr. Han is a James B. Beam Institute Fellow, a Fellow of the American Neurological Association, and an elected International Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health and of the Royal Society of Medicine. He has previously served as the president of the International Society of Neurogastronomy, and of the Lexington Board of Brain Injury Alliance. Currently, Dr. Han chairs the Medical & Scientific Advisory Board for the Association of the U.S. Army – McMillan Chapter, and sits on the governor appointed Board of Directors of the Kentucky Traumatic Brain Injury Trust. Clinically, Dr. Han oversees a neurocognitive consult service for 24 hospital service lines and 62 regional hospitals and clinical practices. His work has been sponsored by the National Institutes of Health, Department of Defense, Department of Education, foundation grants, industry clinical trials, and various national think tanks, involving brain–behavior, behavioral economics, and program development. His work has been featured in Newsweek, National Geographic, BBC, The Wall Street Journal, NPR, and CNN, among others, with globally syndicated coverage spanning 17 countries in 12 languages.
