Speech Language Pathology
UK HealthCare’s Speech Language Pathology team provides evaluation and treatment for a wide variety of diagnoses in both children and adults. We offer both in-person and telehealth visits for the convenience of our patients.
Conditions we treat
Pediatric conditions
- Auditory processing disorders
- Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) evaluation
- Bilingual (Spanish) therapy
- Childhood apraxia of speech
- Cognitive impairments, including executive functioning disorders
- Language disorders
- Infant and pediatric feeding disorders, including modified barium swallow (MBS) studies and fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES) procedures
- Reading and phonological awareness disorders/dyslexia, including the Orton-Gillingham approach to intervention
- Speech and language disorders related to hearing loss using the listening and spoken language approach
- Stuttering and other disorders of fluency
- Velopharyngeal insufficiency and craniofacial assessments
Adult conditions
- Aphasia
- Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC)
- Cognitive-linguistic impairments, including executive functioning disorders and cognitive-linguistic impairment due to progressive neurological conditions such as dementia and Parkinson’s disease
- Dysphagia evaluation and treatment, including modified barium swallow (MBS) studies and fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES) procedures
- Motor speech disorders, including apraxia and dysarthria of speech
- Reading and phonological awareness disorders/dyslexia, including the Orton-Gillingham approach to intervention
- Stroke
- Stuttering and other disorders of fluency
- Traumatic brain injury

Once a referral is made, typically by your primary care physician (PCP), you can call the clinic at 859-257-7918 to schedule an appointment.
Referring providers may send referral via UK HealthCare EpicCare Link or fax to 859-257-1017.
